Dear Mr. President Clinton,
   Mr. Vice President Al Gore,
   Mr. Kofi A. Annan,

The majority of Taiwan citizens thought Koo Chen-fu and his delegation were "too accommodating" towards China during a historic ground-breaking summit.

It is very bad for Taiwanese heart, mainland China's double handed diplomatic approach toward Taiwan may eventually hurt the development of bilateral ties, a ruling Kuomintang warned on Sunday.

Chang Jung-kung director of the KMT's Mainland Affairs Research Department made the remarks while answering questions from reporters about local media reports that the kingdom of Tonga may shift diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing.

Beijing diplomatic strategically toward Taiwan, masterminded by Chinese vice Premier Qian Qichen, seeks to block the island in the international community. It has negatively affected bilateral exchanges and is likely to damage the future of two-way ties, Chang point out.

Why such giant country as mainland China continued bullying of Taiwan ? Taiwan's democratization has won widespread recognition in the international community, it have the right to join our world. We hope that mainland China's democratization will help stabilize cross-strait ties, that only full democratic mainland China would honor a peace agreement with Taiwan, and learning about what is "respect" with each others.

There are ridiculous something about' Taipei's chief negotiator Koo Cheng-fu and his Beijing counterpart Wang Daohan reached consensus on resuming cross-strait talks and strengthening exchanges during Koo's land mark visit to the mainland Oct. 14-19. Koo also met mainland Chinese President Jiang Zemin, and vice Premier Qian Qichen.

While meeting Koo, Qian claimed the ROC's diplomatic defeat is a result of an "international trend" and denied Beijing has "suppressed" Taiwan diplomatically.

Clearly; although Taiwan and the mainland recently restored dialogue and everyone is hoping that this will be a starting point of for improving cross-strait relations.

Nevertheless; communist China's use of a "two handed" strategy against us has not stopped.

It is our wishes to peace with mainland China. Taiwan need your support.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
