Dear Mr. President Clinton,

I believe in democracy. I consider that only democracy can ensure that every person is equal in political rights and human rights that make the country improve unceasingly.

We have the same nightmare; the inexorable spread of cities in the developing world is causing problems. While megalopolises are expanding, their infrastructures are not keeping up with the ban areas of developing countries doubling in 10 to 15 years. The result could be anarchic and illegal construction, shantytowns, overcrowding, corruption, sickness from poor sanitary conditions, and inflation due to the increase in middlemen.

Political nightmare was shaken by communist China. Communist China must encourage to resolve its problems under the pressure of democratic vigor of style.

Li Peng, the former Chinese Prime Minister who became chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) in March this year, has no time for western-style democracy. It's even downright distasteful to him.

1. Imposing the western model on developing countries, he said "has never produced good results" "China's road to democracy is not patterned on the western approach that features the separation of powers, multiparty system and privatization." the chairman insisted.

2. "The opposition party and the ruling party sat opposite each other and while one side was speaking, people on the other side were in boisterous chaos, stamping their feet or clapping their hands. So the speaker was crying, order, order, while striking the gravel. You may think this formula interesting, but the Chinese people may not be able to accept it. We will not introduce this method." Li said.

3. In a clear warning to current efforts by dissidents to register political parties, Li said that any grouping "if it is designed to go for the multiparty system and is trying to negate the leadership of the communist party, will not be allowed to exist." On the other hand, some analysts believe the U.N. covenant on civil and political rights which China signed in October allows for establishment of political parties is a show to western countries.

4. "An overview of the international situation and modern history reveals that to adopt the western system indiscriminately and completely in developing countries will not work, and imposing it in developing countries has never produced good results" "the people support the leadership of theCommunist Party of China" Li added.

5. "When some Russian friends came to visit us, they praised China and some even said that Russia should follow China's footsteps " Li said.

6. "History has already decided, the party and the government have already drawn the correct conclusion which will not be changed in any way" Li spoke to interview.

Mr. Li Peng has forgotten who help mainland China that investing their money in constructive China that rich comes from democratic western countries.

Chinese Hong-Kong, and Chinese Taiwan are biggest investor which pouring money to invest mainland China, both of them are western model style.

Li Peng's talks is going to live in a fool's paradise, and seeking temporary peace.

In our view; democratic Taiwan is the future of Chinese mainland's wish.

So that, Taiwan need your support anyway.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
