The disenchantment in democratic country
A coalition of more than 400 South Korean civil groups joined hands
to pressure established political parties to reform “over
ultimate goal is to make the established political circles more
democratic,” one coalition leader said. The civic groups are
taping into what appears to be a deep well of voter disenchantment, a
poll found that 40 percent of respondents would not vote for any current
politician or political party.
