I hope this letter can find you well in that narrow presidential office there.
I didn't have the priviledge to get to know you but vote for you since you run the positions of Taipei councilor, legislator, Taipei mayor and Taiwan president and I realize the fact on what you've said and done for the people of this nation.
Although I sometimes complained about your particular policies no matter when you were in Taipei city hall or presidential office, I watched your performance on the whole and appreciated you have kept vigil on this land during your tenure.
A feeling was triggered in my heart when you were detained without any help from the party you ever run and the people you ever assisted for official positions. I was stunned to see these happenings and suspected if the value of Taiwanese still exists. Is it a shortcoming of human nature?
I am writing you with what most people want to say and letting you know all of us miss you, support you and look forward to your return someday.
