Indulging in the safest, the most fortunate moment in Chinese history
Right now, the cross-strait relation is very subtle. Taiwan society's wealth and peacefulness are the works of KMT's forty-years of governing; its contribution to the island shall not be unrecognized. Taiwan is now in the democratic transition period; though there is the shadow of The February 28 Incident, but the ruling party has the determination to reform itself, we shall act rationally, give it a chance, and together we will have a bright future on this blessed land. Taiwanese people have grown from numerous foreign invasions; the island's unique culture and civilization have been built up in fright and lack of security. Today's Taiwan is rich, but sometimes one must wonder if one day, when the enemy knocks on our door again, will the gentry and the merchant class welcome the invaders into town once more?
