Buddhism is the most influential and most popular religion in China. Its believers for outnumber believers in other faiths.

It is normal for a public servant who is a Buddhist to try to apply his religious beliefs to improving his performance and enhancing government efficiency. And so one need not feel too sensitive over government officials' participation in Buddhist ceremonies.

After all, the will of haven, or God, or any other Supreme being, is too mysterious to be truly predictable. The most dependable way to success may be realized through the human mind, through diligence devotion and moral integrity.
