Dear Mr. President Bill Clinton,

Leaders of local Buddhist aides in Taiwan have emphasized that religion is part of culture, and that religious activities must not be equated with superstitions as long as they are performed rationally. Buddhism is the most influential and most popular religion in China. Its believers for outnumber believers in other faiths.

For this reason, Buddhist thinking permeates the Chinese way of life in the same way Christianity, dominates the westerners' way of thinking. It is normal for a public servant who is a Buddhist to try to apply his religious beliefs to improving his performance and enhancing government efficiency. And so one need not feel too sensitive over government officials' participation in Buddhist ceremonies.

On the other hand, the officials must not go so far as to give the impression that they are relying on supernatural powers for improvements in human affairs. After all, the will of haven, or God, or any other Supreme being, is too mysterious to be truly predictable. The most dependable way to success may be realized through the human mind, through diligence devotion and moral integrity.

Senior presidential adviser Wu Poh-hsiung carefully carries a 2000-year-old relic believed to be a tooth of the Lord Buddha as a large delegation of top government officials, business people and religious leaders escorting the relic arrive yesterday (April 9, 1998) at the Chiang Kai-shek international airport on a flight from Bang Kok was Muslim's death believed by accepting to heaven? More than 100 Muslim pilgrims were killed Thursday (April 8, 1998) in a stampede during a religious ceremony in Mina near the holy city of Mercca.

It means clearly no one blame "stampede" because pilgrim's death is sacrificed for "holy only". The stampede in Mina 10 kilometers from Mecca, occurred during a ceremony in which pilgrims making the "hajj" or "religious pilgrimage" throw stones at pillars symbolizing the devil.

It is necessary to build the leader of government officers' on duty to prevent from religious disturbance that is assumed?

The cross have the power of Jesus, because of Jesus did not undergo a normal routine crucifixion. He was also subjected to the public humiliation of a mock trial before pontius pilate during which he was abused, beaten and disfigured; his beard was torn out and a crown of thorns was placed on his head as a gesture of mockery at his claim to be a king.

The pressure with in himself was so intense that he bled from his brow when the soldiers came to Jesus on the cross they saw that he was dead already. So they did not break his legs. Instead, they pieced his side and blood and water gushed out. This means that Jesus had died literally of a broken heart. His heart had burst and blood had congealed. The blood and plasma had become separated and when he was pierced, they flowed out from his side.

"My God, my God, why have you forsakes me?" contains depths of suffering that we will never be able to understand. There was nothing else that could have happened because in taking out sin into himself.

True disciples of Jesus we need to take up our own cross and follow him?

For God's will;

(I) "The U.S. has assured Thailand would assist in any effort to arrest and try former Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot?

(II) "The break through-the biggest political development since conflict engulfed Northern Ireland in 1969---- capped a weeklong negotiating marathon driven by the American talks Chairman, George Mitchell, and the prime ministers of Britain and Ireland, Tony Blair and Bertie Ahern."

Burden with cross follows Jesus way is the way of "leader's U.S.".

The government of Clinton on the way of God's will that nobody can instead of.

There is no time for U.S. hesitate to salve our world.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
