Dear Mr. President Bill Clinton,

The letter is only for hoping the three Ts- Taiwan, Tiananmen, and Tibet, are still inflammatory issue.

China mainland have its basic components;

--- Maintain unrelenting pressure on Taipei to accept Beijing's definition of "one

China".

--- Strangle Taiwan diplomatically by insisting that nations chose between

establishing formal relation with either Taipei or Beijing.

--- Economic vacuuming continue trying Taiwan to the mainland by encouraging

increased investment.

--- Expand social enlargement, such as religious and culture relation, to tie Taiwan's

populace closer to the mainland.

--- Push military modernization, especially in the area of missile, capabilities,

tactical air power, combined-force amphibious operations.

The ROC has yet to articulate a sophisticated plan to counter the PRC's Taiwan strategy. There is nowhere else to go, but keeping democracy and economic strength.

China's message is very clear; no real progress on U.S.-PRC relationship until there are some concession on Taiwan.

Is Taiwan a ban of U.S.-PRC relationship? Answer is "no"!

Security, money, and power make Taiwan become a pawn to those two political superpowers.

I just hope Taiwan is worth the risk for United States support it.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
