Dear Mr. Martin Ferguson,

It is so sorrow that I write you, because of some anxieties for Australia condition. Why, 130 students in a protest against the discriminatory immigration policy of the anti-Asian politician Hanson and her nationalistic one-nation party ?

Chinese Confucius said, " She who learns without thinking will be bewildered; she who thinks without learning will be in danger". Students learned the history of discrimination and thought the dangerous results from post experience.

Confucius said, " He who does not think of the future is certain to have immediate worries ". Hanson's strategy to protect Australia's culture and way of life by slashing immigration marked a return to the " white Australia " policy the effectively barred Asian immigrants until the late 1960s.

The policy, based on a south African race law, was only formally repeated in the early 70s. As we have known, who is the President of South African at now?

Australia located in Asia region. There have no any countries to live along without neighboring countries' support.

" The more a woman learns, the more she sees her ignorance ". Confucius said. The Hanson policy had told us that one nation will bury " explosive bomb " for Australia future.

We agree with Prime Minister John Howard said, Hanson's tough immigration policy, which put a priority on English fluency, would ban people who could make great contributions to Australian society.

We pray for peaceful Australia will be a global village of our world, and not anyone would hurt the spirit of it.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
