Dear Mr. Kofi A. Annan,

Reports said that on Indonesia's island of Ambon, Christians and Moslems are responding to the country's worst sectarian violence in 15 years by ensuring they are ready for a "holy war" --- be it a crusade or jihad, calls for violence by both the island's Moslem and Christian leaders have been vociferous, crude, home-made weapons, such as a shotgun that ignites gunpowder and sulphur shaven from matchsticks, are common.

In our view; religious war is the war of idiot, but it fought seriously because of "superstition".

On the other hand, no where to go, no dialogue to open. Forty years after crushing a Tibetan uprising against its rule, "China shows no indication of opening a dialogue on its policies in the territory", the Dalai Lama said in a interview published Sunday (March 6, 1999). "All channels for dialogue --- both formal and informal --- between Beijing and the Tibetan government in exile are now frozen." The Tibetan spiritual and temporal leader was quoted saying by Taipei's Chinese-language China Times.

In our views; peaceful dialogue is of no use for exiles of Tibetan because of losing military force --- that can make noise of speaking power. "The Dalai Lama's attempts to separate Tibet from the motherland and realize his cherished dream of restoring his rule in old Tibet are bound to be a complete failure" the Beijing official Xinhua News Agency said.

After forty years of peaceful work, the spiritual leader of Tibet Dalai Lama needs your support.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
