Dear Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton,

Taiwan have learn too much from United States whether it good or bad.

Hollywood's television and movies full of sex, and violence; in which our young generation lose their moral ground to think that the strongest country as United States, can do like what their had seen in moves or television, why we can't do it also?

Taipei May 10,

--in a bid to help create a healthy and wholesome environment where Children can be free from sex and violence on television, and dozen nonprofit social organizations launched an activity Sunday-Mother's Day, to recruit volunteer moms for the campaign.

They pointed out that with the booming development of cable TV, more and more such programs are broadcast without censorship to family everyday.

Research indicates that risque and pornographic programs can have a serious negative impact upon children's psychological development. Numerous real-life cases have borne out that young criminals often learn from watching TV programs.

Accordingly, organizer of the anti-sex and violence campaign said many people now are very concerned about the situation. Which has prompted them to United in a battle for more responsible TV programming for Children.

They said this has become a global issue for parents, many of whom realize that they should stand up to stop the spread of crime-filled sex-studded and violent TV programs.

As we have know; a civic group in Denver Colorado, in the United States, after long time monitoring, has recently succeeded in demanding federal authorities scrap the licenses of four commercial TV stations for airing inappropriate programs. The organizers said they noted that the succeed of the U.S. group is proof that pressure from the general public can be a powerful force in protecting children from the pollution of certain TV programs.

A recent public opinion survey shows that 87 percent of local TV audience think that many programs are tpp violent and pornographic, greatly hampering children's normal and healthy development and seriously twisting their sense of values and morality.

Many countries will follow the United States.

I hope Clinton's government would concern about such kind of cultural destruction.

So, with wishes for you and your family.

Sincerely Yours,
Yang Hsu-Tung.
