Dear Mr. Colin Powell,

Miss Condoleezza Rice,

August 24, 2000 ---

Chinese police have arrested 130 Christians from a banned church, three of them U.S. missionaries.

But, what is so-called “banned church”?

Why? Mainland China accused Taiwan on Feb. 1, 2001 of backing Falun Gong and vowed to mount a “resolute struggle” against Taipei’s support for the spiritual movement Beijing has banned as a doomsday cult.

It is very ridiculous that Falun Gong is only an ordinary party in Taiwan, nothing particularly to mention it. We don’t know why that as a power leader of mainland China Jiang Zemin’s zeal to crush the Falun Gong looks as if it might provide the last nail in the coffin of the autonomy that Hong Kong was supposed to enjoy under the “one country, two systems” formula.

Tung Chee-hwa, Hong Kong’s chief executive and Beijing’s poodle, has recently come under pressure to take measures to ban the sect in the special administrative region.

We want to ask, who’s the next, if Falun Gong today?

Mainland China is building a base in a southeastern city for advanced ground-to-air missile, a move feared to weaken Taiwan’s air defense capabilities, it was reporter on Jan, 15, 2001.

Despite military force of mainland China, then let us to review the funny thing …

China on Feb. 24, 2001, said a boy it handpicked as the reincarnation of a key Tibetan spiritual leader --- the Panchen Lama, is loyal to the communist party.

“I have felt the greatness of the communist party of China and warmth of the socialist family,” the 11th Panchen Lama was quoted by China’s news agency Xinhua as saying prior to the Tibetan New Year.

In January 2000, Beijing’s plan to groom Lamas and strengthen administration over Tibet suffered a blow when the Karmapa Lama, then 14, fled from China to Dharamsala, India where the Tibetan government-in-exile is based.

Unfortunately, the boy who was considered to be the true Panchen by Tibetans was detained with his family in May 1995 at the age of six and has not been seen since.

Beijing leaders are suffering from the disease of hearing and visual disturbance, in which psysomatic reaction is original source.

We thought that, Taiwan needs your support.

                                                               Yours Sincerely,

Yang Hsu-Tung.
